YouTube Tips and Tricks

https://mashtips.com/play-youtube-music-background/
The trick to listening to YouTube in the background in Android is simple but effective. Launch Firefox
If Firefox is not working for you, try Brave or Dolphin browsers and type manually youtube.com on the address bar. Depending on the make and model of your smartphone, one of them will work to listen to YouTube audio.
If the audio playback is still not working then pull down the notification drawer and press play from the audio controls there. It should be visible.
YouTube has a pretty powerful API that is used by many different apps to showcase its large and immersive video collection. NewPipe is one such app which is available, not on Play Store, but the ever so popular F-Droid.
Features include the ability to play YouTube music in the background with screen off. Yes, the app is free to use. Let’s see how this works.

1. Use Lyrics to Search for Songs

  • Normally, when YouTube searches for relevant videos, it retrieves videos that are related to words in your search. To get more specific, add “allintitle” in the search box before the keywords. This will ensure that the results will include all the keywords you searched for.
  • If you’re particular about video quality, simply add “HD” to your search. This will force YouTube to only retrieve high-definition results. Similarly, add “3D” for three-dimensional content.
  • Finally, if you’re a fan of a specific channel, you can add the channel name in your search query. This will retrieve results from specific channels.
Bypass regional restrictions and other blocks

Once the id of the video is copied, erase everything after the .com/ and add "v/<id>" where id is what was copied earlier. Once this is done, your URL should resemble the example shown below.

Loading this URL opens the video in a full screen, but because of how it is loaded many of the restrictions YouTube may have on the video are ignored

YouTube is owned by Google. This means you can set up YouTube ads through your Google Ads account.
You’ll have the option to do the following:
  • select your audience
  • choose locations you want to target
  • set your budget

You’ll see a new option located there called, unsurprisingly, Loop. Left-click it once and a checkmark will appear to the right of the option.

#3: Begin Each Video With an Interesting Hook

How you hook viewers depends on you and your content. If a video features a project of any kind, show the end result first. A stunning result makes people more interested to see how you achieved it.

Stories are another way to pique viewers’ interest. People are hardwired for stories. When you start your video with a story, people will naturally want to stick around to see what happens. Plus, personal stories endear the presenter to the viewer and can often provide a helpful segue to more complicated ideas.

However you hook viewers, make sure your opener relates directly to the subject matter. Viewers clicked because they were interested, so quickly get into the subject they wanted to hear about in the first place.

#10: Create Long Videos to Improve Watch Time

Although you want to keep your credits short, make your actual video content as long as makes sense for your topic. Making long videos seems counterintuitive, given the famously short attention spans online. Indeed, shorter videos were considered better. But today, longer videos equate to more watch time, which boosts your content in the algorithm.
#13: Develop Videos as a Series

2. Loop a Video Infinitely
So change this URL:
youtube.com/watch?v=oeb5LdAyLC8
To this to loop it:
youtuberepeater.com/watch?v=oeb5LdAyLC8

YouTube has age restrictions on certain videos that are flagged as containing mature content. Whether you don’t have a YouTube account or don’t feel like signing in to watch one, you can perform a little trick to bypass the sign-in.

Take a YouTube URL for a restricted video like this:

youtube.com/watch?v=wvZ6nB3cl1w

Simply append gen in front of youtube as shown here:
genyoutube.com/watch?v=wvZ6nB3cl1w

4. Skip a Certain Amount of the Intro

Add &start=30 to the end of the URL and get this:

youtube.com/watch?v=uA0nSkSxA3E&start=30

Found a YouTube video that has a GIF-worthy moment? You can easily create an animated GIF from any part of a video by adding gif before the YouTube link.
So to edit this video into a GIF:
youtube.com/watch?v=gy1B3agGNxw
Change the URL to this:
gifyoutube.com/watch?v=gy1B3agGNxw

6.) Double Tap To Seek
YouTube recently launched a feature called Double Tap To Seek. When you double tap on the left or right of a video playing on the YouTube app, it will rewind or fast-forward 10 seconds of the video.

To find specific searches, you can use certain symbols or words to make the results more precise. Here are some examples:
- Add quotation marks to find a specific term. And add plus or minus signs to include or omit results.
- Add allintitle in the search box before keywords to ensure that the results will include all the keywords you searched for in the title.
- Add HD to the search query to find high-definition results. And add 3D for three-dimensional content.
- Add channel or playlist in a search query to find specific channels or playlists.
15.) Change Video Size And Resolution

2. You can create a link that starts a YouTube video at a certain time.

To see a video's transcript: Open the video in YouTube and press the "More" tab underneath the video title. Choose "Transcript" from the drop-down menu.

5. You can use YouTube to easily get free transcriptions of your videos and audio files.

6. You can create, share, and collaborate on video playlists.

9. You can add an end screen or cards to promote content.

In 2008, YouTube began allowing clickable links YouTube called "annotations" that you could insert into your videos. These annotations worked kind of like call-to-action buttons for directing people to subscribe to your channel, see merchandise or a fundraising campaign, visit another resource to learn more, and so on.
In order to make them more natural parts of the viewing experience, YouTube has replaced annotations with end screens, where you can display more visually pleasing call-to-action cards in the last 30 seconds of your content.

Want to add some cool sound effects or music to your YouTube video (or any video)? YouTube is there for you. It has a whole library of high-quality, 320kbps audio tracks and sound effects that you can download royalty-free and add to your videos. (Or listen to in your free time. We won't judge.)

12. Play YouTube videos in the background on mobile devices.

20. You can learn about YouTube's copyrights terms from a cast of ridiculous puppets.

Made it this far? Here's a little reward: YouTube's "Copyrights Basics" FAQ page, which is, fittingly a YouTube video -- and features a pretty colorful cast of characters. It's actually super informative, and it looks like YouTube's video team had a lot of fun making it.
